Site Description: Newport Airbase Industrial Park Site #1 is a 96-acre certified site located in the Airbase Industrial Park in Newport. The site is an Arkansas Select Site. The certification means that the community has completed all necessary studies and improvements to create a shovel ready site. Through an Arkansas Economic Development Commission grant the site has a new direct road entrance through the extension of Comet Street. The site has been used for hay production for the last 35 years. All utilities have been extended to the boundary of the site.
Site Boundaries: The site is bounded by private agricultural land to the north, Newport Municipal Airport property to the east, Arkansas State University-Newport’s Commercial Truck Driver Training Range to the south and solar production to the west.
